ENROLMENT
The student must fill in the application form and mail it in to
the school together with valid proof of payment and 2 recent photographs.
PAYMENTS
All sums must be received in full by the school of your choice at
least 30/60 days prior the beginning of each course.
Types of payment acceptable:
- International Cheque
- Travellers Cheque
- Credit Cards: American Express (MasterCard and Visa only
in office)
- International Bank Transfer
STUDENT VISA
GENERAL INFORMATION REGARDING STUDENT VISA
ISSUED BY ITALIAN CONSULATES
Documents necessary for obtaining the STUDENT VISA (to be presented
to the italian Consulate abroad)
- Passport valid at least 4 months over the planned
stay in Italy
- Identification document
- Airline reservation or tickets
- One passport size photograph
- Certificate of Residence or equivalent
- Certificate of School or Italian University, (in which it
must be expressed that the
- student is enrolled, the type
of course, the duration, starting date and complete
- address of the school).
- Invoice of payment.
- Economic Security: equivalent to a minimum € 800,00 per
month during the stay.
- Copy of payment of INA ASSITALIA (Health Insurance): 6 months
€ 49,00;
- 12 months € 98,00.
Please remember that the Visa must be
requested personally with the original documents and photocopies,
and that the response may require up to 30 days depending on the
nationality of the student.
Procedures to be followed during the
stay in Italy:

The student must present him/herself
to the local "Questura" within 8 days
of arrival to request the "Permesso di Soggiorno"
(permit to stay).

The "Permesso di Soggiorno"
must be renewed before its expiration at the "Questura"
in the city of residence. Every change of residence must be
reported to the local "Questura".

Only type D Visas
can be renewed (those on which it is written "91 days"
or greater than 3 months).

The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has an official web site
on the internet for public use, www.esteri.it,
in which you may consult or confirm the case, finality, duration
requests and conditions for all types of Visas.
CANCELLATIONS
Courses may be cancelled by sending fax communication to the "ISTITUTO
DANTE ALIGHIERI" shool of your choice.
- If the fax is received up to 20 weekdays before
the commencement of the course itself, 20% of the course fee
shall be forfeited and withheld by the Institute.
- If the fax is received from 19 up to 10 weekdays
before the commencement of the course, 30% of the course fee
shall be forfeited and withheld.
- If the fax is received 9 weekdays or less before
the commencement of the course, the entire fee shall be forfeited
and withheld.
There is no refund for students who
begin a course late or should decide not to terminate such course.
Course fees cannot be transferred to other students.
If the student should find it necessary to postpone or interrupt
the course for very serious reasons, he may ask for a "letter
of credit" for that portion of the course he will not be
attending. The "letter of credit" is valid for
the ongoing academic year. With a minimum of four weeks' notice
and the agreement of the Director of Studies, students on courses
of 24 weeks or longer may take a break in their studies.
CHANGE OF COURSES
If the students wish to change one of their courses, the request
is to be made at least 30 days before the course begins, the credit
given will be equal to the tuition fee paid minus the 20% of the
tuition fee for that course. It is not possible to make changes
after the course has begin.
COURSES
The Institute has the right to postpone group courses to later dates
if the minimum number of students per group is not reached. Where
insufficient bookings lead us to cancel any course mentioned, we
will make every effort to offer an alternative course.
